ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Zara and I am a qualified Level 2 Exercise to Music Instructor, Certified Fitness Kickboxing Instructor, BurleX Fitness Instructor and I hold a certificate in Health Related Exercise and Physical Activity for Children aged 5-15 years.  I am currently studying to become a Personal Trainer specialising in Pre and Post Natal and I am a mother to 3 beautiful children aged 7, 4 and 3 years.

 

I have not always been a fitness fanatic.  As a child I took part in various martial arts classes such as kenpo karate however I was never really committed.  I enjoyed being part of the school netball team but again this was strictly an 'in school' thing.

 

Once I had left school I occasionally visited the gym but found it quite boring and wouldn't realy push myself.  After my first child I gained a lot of excess weight which I struggled to lose but did so mainly through dieting.  It wasn't until after I had my third child that I started taking exercise classes and really took an interest in the whole fitness industry.  I attended a variety of group exercise classes and absolutely loved them all.  I found them motivating and enjoyable.  After about a year of taking classes I decided that I would like to help inspire others to keep fit.  So here I am, fully qualified and ready to help others in their journeys.

 

I also want to help tackle obesity, particularly in young people.  We all need educating on healthy eating and fitness and I hope to be able to deliver some sound advice in this area which will help others make the right choices.
